Spring 2004 Varsity Tennis vs. Carlisle School

The Tigers came up with a BIG victory on the road to clinch a playoff spot in the VIC Tennis Playoffs. The score was tied 3-3 after singles with victories from Louis Chevalier, Charles Nelson and Chad Thomas. In doubles, Thomas and Nelson teamed up for a victory. The last players left on the court were J.P. Bonilla and Bridget Borley who came back from a deficit of 6-4 for huge win 8-6 to clinch the match for the team. Next match is on the road against North Cross on Wednesday.

Spring 2004 Varsity Tennis vs. George Washington High School

The Tigers clinched the match in singles winning 5 of the 6 contests. The singles winners were Bridget Borley, Louis Chevalier, Peter Giordano, Dustin Meeks, & Charles Nelson, In doubles the Tigers won 2 of 3 matches. The winners were Nelson/Chevalier & Alex Koeman and Daniel Kroh. Next match is a VIC showdown at Carlisle on Monday.

The Tigers lost in a non-conference contest on the road. The lone singles victory came from Charles Nelson. Two of the other singles matches were very close. The Tigers saved face by winning two of the three doubles. The doubles winners were Bridget Borley/ J.P. Bonilla and Chad Thomas and Charles Nelson. The team is 3-3 overall and 2-1 in the VIC.

The Tigers posted an impressive victory in some very close singles and doubles matches. In singles the winner were Peter Giordano, J.P. Bonilla, Dustin Meeks and Charles Nelson. Bridget Borley lost in a close tiebreaker and Chad Thomas also fell in a close match. Dustin Meeks came back from a deficit to an impressive win in a tiebreaker.

The Varisty Tennis team opened the regular season with a victory against VIC opponent Roanoke Valley Christian with a score of 9-0. The Tigers swept all six singles and three doubles.

Fall 2003 PG Football vs. Fork Union Military Academy

November 7, 2003

The Hargrave PG Football team defeated the Fork Union PG Football team 31 to 23. Darrell Blackman had 18 carries for 159 yards and one touchdown. Jonathan Hefney had one receiving touchdown and one rushing touchdown. Armand Cauthen had 4 catches for 69 yards and 1 touchdown. The defense was lead by Philip Brown who had an interception. Brian Soi, Khalif Mitchell, and John Baranowsky each had sacks. All the coaches and players did an outstanding job. The PG Football finished the season with a record of 8 Wins with only 1 loss.
