The Tigers split a couple of conference matches on Thursday, defeating LCA 49-20 and losing to Covenant 47-30. Recording victories for the Tigers were: 103 DiAndrea x2, 112 Sasser x2, 119 Wynne, 125 Ruetter x2, 130 Mizell x2, 135 Torney, 145 Noeth, 160 Jordan and 275 McMillan x2. Hargrave's record goes to 12-3. The Tigers take to the mat again on Friday at North Cross

The Tigers traveled to Charlottesville on Wednesday and came away with two conference victories. In the first match Hargrave defeated Covenant 39-36 and then in the second match Hargrave defeated Fishburne 54-28. The following Tiger wrestlers record victories: 112 Jon Sasser x2, 119 Teddy Wynne, 125 Kris Montsinger x2, 130 Page Mizell x2, 135 Garrett Torney, 140 Jeremy Willis, 145 Dane Noeth x2, 160 Robert Jordan x2, 215 Daniel Lambi and 275 Bill McMillan x2. With the two victories the Tigers improved their record to 11-2.

The Tigers placed second in the team score with 312.5 points, VES won the tournanment with 369 points. In the head to head dual matches Hargrave recorded a 7-2 record. Leading the way for the Tigers were: 145 Dane Noeth 1st place, 125 Jared Ruetter 3rd place, 130 Page Mizell 3rd place, 171 Nate Wollens 4th place and 275 Bill McMillan 4th place.

The first match was a hard fought victory against Roanoke Catholic, with the final outcome being decided in the 275 weight class as Bill McMillan recorded a pin. The following wrestlers recorded victories: 103- Nick DiAndrea x2, 125 Jared Ruetter, 135 Garrett Torney, 140 Wes Shea x2, 145 Dane Noeth x2, 152 Stephen Smither x2, 160 Robert Jordan, 171 Justin Lett, 189 Evan Orfanidis x2 and 275 Bill McMillan x2. The Tigers return to action this weekend at the Rustburg Invitationa.

Though the Tiger riflemen did not bring home a victory, they shot well within their potential. There were two misses fired in the top 4. Caleb Haymes fired the high score for HMA.

The tiger riflemen had some difficulty keeping their shots in the center of the target during yesterday's match with FMS. Some of the shooters experienced some challenges finding their groove in the standing and kneeling position. Alex Lazo attained the team's high match score by firing a 249.

The Tiger Riflemen fired with consistency and defeated the MMA rifle team. This group of less experienced shooters stepped up and came through against a more experienced MMA rifle team.
