The tiger shooters fired a steady match and defeated MMA. Kroh fired a personal best and is the second of the first year shooters to make the top four of the match. Lazo and Haymes fired consistantly and greatly assisted the team's effort to break 1000 points. Top 4: Lazo 274 (match high) Haymes 260 Frank 248 Kroh 248. The tiger shooters fired a win against FMS. Though some of the shooters experienced some challenges during the match, they fought through each shot and pulled through. The Tiger's came from behind on Saturday to win the VIC wrestling championship. After getting behind in the first round the team really stepped up their intensity and came on strong to win going away. The team scores were as follows: Hargrave 197, Roanoke Catholic 131, Covenant School 127, Lynchburg Christian 117, Miller School 117, North Cross 84 and Fishburne Military 52. The tiger shooters brought their gear to the firing line and shot a consistent match against Fork Union. There were many "personal best" results achieved during the stages of fire. Forrester and Johnson fired their highest scores thus far for the season. Kroh had the top prone score for the team and match. These first year shooters are doing an outstanding job. Frank fired his highest match score in two years. All of the top 4 shooters exceeded 250 points. Top 4: Haymes 267 (match high) Frank 262 Lazo 260 Perry 255. Other Scores: Forrester 244 Johnson 244 Kroh 230 Gladding 223. High Position Scores: Prone- Kroh (match high) 98 Standing- Frank 78 (match high) Kneeling- Haymes 94 (match high).
