Varsity Swimming/Diving vs. Eastern Prep Schools Championships

This past weekend the Hargrave swim team brought the season to an end with a 6th place finish at Eastern Prep School National. This is the oldest and most prestigious high school meet in the country. In fact this was the 106th annual running of this meet. More than 60 teams compete in this meet from more than 13 different states. These states range from as far west as Texas, as far south as Florida, and as far north as Massachusetts.

Varsity Swimming/Diving vs. VSIS State Championship

This past weekend the swim team competed in the 32nd Annual VSIS State Swimming Championship. The team swam themselves into second place by scoring 220 points. They were second to Paul VI, who scored 291. Hargrave was followed by Hampton Roads Academy and Collegiate with 209 points and in 5th place St. Christopher’s with 204 points.

Varsity Swimming/Diving vs. VIC/BRC Conference Meets

On Tuesday night, February 7, 2006, the Hargrave swimming team won its second straight conference championship. The team swam very well and accumulated at total point score of 228. This was 145 points more than their nearest competitor. In fact, Hargrave scored 228 points out of 476 total points for the meet. This meant that the second through fifth place team’s total combined score was limited to 248 points.
