Post Graduate Team wins again!

The Post Graduate Football Team traveled to the state of Pennsylvania for the second time this year and came away with another win. The Tigers defeated the home standing "Red Flash" of St. Francis University by the score of 41-40 in overtime.

Bishops Drop JV Soccer

The Tigers were unable to even the odds against VES during their rematch. The Bishops dominated the match in its entirety and allowed very few opportunities for the Tigers. VES took the lead in the first half and then added three more goals, so at halftime they had a lead of 4-0 over Hargrave. During the second half, the Bishops added two more goals to their count to get their second win against the Tigers with a final score of 6-0

Sacred Heart Nips JV Soccer

The Tigers were unable to notch a second win against Sacred Heart during their rematch. Sacred Heart came out strong and took the lead in the first half by scoring two goals off two swift breakaways. The Tigers had many opportunities, but they were not able to score until the second half. Moses Ng scored both goals for the Tigers with the assists of Austin Kaizer on the first goal and Zackery Packer on the second. Sacred Heart added a third goal at the end of the second half to win with a score of 3-2.

Varsity Soccer Falls Short to VES

The Varsity Tigers faced the Virginial Episcopal School Bishops on October 6th resulting in a 3-1 loss. The entire game proved the team’s gathered momentum in the right direction. The squad possessed the ball, showed supporting roles to help each other out, and continued to mold together as a unit. Tyler Fallen’s goal in the 88th minute showed the heart the Tigers played with during the match. Standout players included Spencer King, Garrick Ellwood, Tyler Fallen, and Francisco Velasco-Lang.

Rifle Slips Agaisnt Fishburne

The Rifle Team shot well again, but came up short. The team shot a 955 to a 989. The top shooters were Vaughn Nunn with a 244 followed by Payne Nunn with a 239. Nick Houck shot a 238 and Garrett Peterson shot a 229. All of the shooters shot over 200 again this week. We are getting better with every match. The cadets are pleased to know they are improving but disappointed with the lose. They will be working hard next week to get a win before the season ends.

Good Showing For Cross Country

The Cross Country team faced tough completion from eleven schools at the Covenant Invitational. The team placed 6th overall. Emmanuel Clark led the Tigers in scoring, followed by Josh Williams, Wesley Caretto, Timothy Le, and Jay Suthard. Rounding out the field for HMA was Mengchu Zhao, Dakota Wetherbee, Brandon Beavers, Joel Corpening, Andrew Hargrove, and Wei an Chen.
